WSC Selected for the Maryland Business Adapts 21/22 Award for Innovative Pandemic-Era Pivot

The Maryland Business Adapts 21/22 Award, organized by the Center for Global Business (CGB) at the University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business, recognizes the resilience of Maryland industry in overcoming challenges of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This initiative celebrates and highlights Small and Medium Entrepreneurs (SMEs) in international business that successfully minimized risk to their global operations during the pandemic.

As one of five award recipients, WSC will work with the university to develop a case study to be shared with students and peers, documenting how WSC strategically changed business operations to minimize global risk, redirect resources, and maintain our global business relationships. WSC, together with the other four award recipients, will be honored at a roundtable event in September 2022, in Baltimore where each recipient will share lessons learned and best practices that minimized the global business challenges of the pandemic.

Key partners of the initiative include the U.S. Commercial Service Baltimore, the Maryland Department of Commerce, and the Maryland/DC District Export Council.
